Salon Maintanance
Initial installation: Which typically takes about 2-3 hours (excluding any color services), we will:
-
Prep the hair
-
Install the extensions
-
Cut and blend the extensions with your natural hair
-
Style your hair
For proper maintenance, we recommend the following:
-
Move-Up Maintenance (4-6 weeks): This maintenance session, lasting approximately 1-1.5 hours, involves adjusting and repositioning the extensions. Please note that a maximum of 2 move-ups can be done between re-installations. Move-up costs range from $100 to $150 (excluding color).
-
Re-Installation (6-8 weeks): This comprehensive maintenance appointment includes complete removal and reinstallation of the extensions. It is ideal for all-over color touch-ups, adjusting tension, checking natural hair health, etc. Re-installation costs range from $250 to $300 (excluding color).
It is important to adhere to the recommended maintenance schedule to avoid excessive tension on the natural hair, which can lead to damage and hair loss (alopecia).
Failure to shampoo the hair prior to the appointment may result in a $50 additional fee for the extra time required for shampooing.
Please prioritize your hair's health and well-being by following these guidelines.
Things to Consider
Commitment:
Hair extensions require regular maintenance and care, including follow-up appointments and proper at-home upkeep.
Height:
Choose a length that complements your height and overall look, whether you prefer a dramatic or natural appearance.
Lifestyle:
Select extensions that fit your daily routine, especially if you lead an active lifestyle. Some types may require more maintenance than others.
Financial:
Consider both the initial cost and ongoing expenses for maintenance and products. Ensure the investment fits your budget.
Goals:
Clearly define what you want to achieve—whether it’s length, volume, or color—to help choose the best extensions for your needs.

At Home Care
To maximize the lifespan of your new hair extensions, it is crucial to follow proper aftercare procedures.

Sleeping:
-
Avoid sleeping with your hair down, as this can cause friction, leading to split ends and breakage.
-
Do not sleep with wet hair, as it can result in matting. Instead, loosely bun your hair using a big scrunchie, and consider using a satin pillowcase for its gentle texture.
-
Prior to bedtime, apply oil to the ends of your hair for added nourishment.
Styling & Brushing:
-
Always use a heat protectant before using hot tools or blow dryers on your extensions.
-
Opt for a board bristle brush or paddle brush to gently detangle your hair, starting from mid-length to ends, and gradually working your way up.
-
Partially air-drying your hair is acceptable, but make sure to blow dry the attachment points to prevent bacterial growth or molding.
-
If you notice a weft coming undone, contact me immediately for prompt attention.
Products:
-
Stick to professional hair care products, as some drugstore options may contain ingredients like parabens and waxes that can build up and degrade the hair quality prematurely.
-
Remember that your extensions are made of 100% human hair, and they have undergone a quality process at the factory. It is essential to maintain them properly to keep them looking their best.
-
Avoid applying conditioner directly at the point of attachment, as it can cause the bead to slide out.
-
By following these at-home care tips, you can ensure the longevity and beauty of your hair extensions.
